Are you analytical, detail-driven, and passionate about solving complex problems? We’re looking for a motivated Reconciliation Analyst to join our Global Markets Operations team in Johannesburg.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to financial markets while playing a critical role in safeguarding the accuracy and integrity of trading and financial data across multiple Global Markets products. About the Role

As a Reconciliation Analyst, you will:

  • Perform daily, monthly, and exception-based reconciliations across Global Markets products.

  • Investigate and resolve complex breaks through detailed root cause analysis and sustainable remediation.

  • Analyse data to identify trends, risks, and process improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Front Office, Finance, Technology, and Operations teams to strengthen controls and resolve issues.

  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and support system changes, including elements of the SDLC.

  • Deliver high-quality reporting and confidently communicate findings to senior stakeholders.

  • Promote a strong, risk-aware and control-focused culture within the team.

 

What We’re Looking For Core Skills & Competencies:

  • Advanced Excel expertise (complex formulas, pivots, lookups essential).

  • Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to unpack complex issues.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Self-starter with resilience, ownership, and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.

  • Positive, proactive team player.

 

Advantageous Experience:

  • Exposure to Global Markets products (FX, Money Markets, Derivatives, Fixed Income, etc.).

  • Finance-related degree or relevant qualification.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

  • Experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.

  • Understanding of reconciliation systems, operational risk, and control frameworks.
