Job Description

An established organisation within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Production Pharmacist / Production Manager to join their Gauteng-based operation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing pharmaceutical production processes, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to GMP standards within a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

? Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee daily production operations to ensure optimal output and cost-effective manufacturing processes
• Implement and maintain Quality Assurance processes and SOPs in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements
• Monitor equipment calibration and maintenance schedules to minimise operational downtime
• Manage production assets, CAPEX requirements, and procurement of consumables to support uninterrupted operations
• Prepare and review operational and management reports to support business decision-making
• Lead, coach, and develop production staff to ensure compliance with GMP standards and operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with OHSA requirements and maintain a safe working environment
• Compile, review, and maintain SOPs and production-related documentation in line with regulatory standards

? Minimum Requirements:
? Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) Degree
? Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a Pharmacist
? Minimum 6 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
? Experience in aseptic processing environments
? Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience within a pharmaceutical production environment
? Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, sterilisation methods, validations, and OHSA regulations
